Club Racing Rules Organization Update

Following on to the Chairman’s recent announcement regarding Club Race rulemaking, I’d like to outline some additional restructuring of the rules organization. The rules committee for our traditional/native classes will now have greater representation from active racers. These racers will represent the class they actively race in.

I’d like announce the following racers who have agreed to serve in this role: Scott Stirling will represent the Sport Class, David Harrison will represent the Prepared Class and Krista Williams will represent the Modified Class.

Rounding out the rest of the Rules committee with responsibility for the Safety and Procedural aspects of Club Racing will be Bruce Smith, National Tech Steward and Ross Karlin, National Comp Steward along with Dean Croucher who will serve in an advisory role.

Additionally we are in the initial phases of developing a spec class for the BMW factory built M2 CSR race cars. This class will have its own dedicated set of rules and racer John Gardner has agreed to join the team to develop this rule set.

These roles will be effective at the beginning of the 2023 season. Stay tuned for additional announcements regarding Club Racing Rules.

Thanks,
Tom Tice
