BMW CCA Spec E36 Tires for 2009 Named

Greenville, SC
(
December 11, 2008)
— BMW CCA Club Racing announced today that for the 2009 season the BFGoodrich
g-Force R1 (245/40/17) is the designated dry weather tire for the Spec E36 Class
Series.  The Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07
(235/40/17) continues as the designated wet weather tire for the class.

The BFGoodrich g-Force R1 is a tire that has demonstrated
excellent price/performance returns in terms of both longevity and traction for
many racers in the BMW CCA Club Racing program in 2008.  The Tire Rack, BMW CCA Club Racing’s title
sponsor, will ensure that adequate supplies of the tires are available for the
Spec E36 class series.

The SPEC E36 class is intended for the racer
who desires an “even playing field” with a tightly-controlled level of
preparation and performance.  The Spec
E36 class specifies a set of E36 chassis, 6-cylinder race cars which are
prepared to a uniform level.  The
modifications required or allowed are intended to produce a fun, fast race car
that feels like a race car, yet remains relatively inexpensive to prepare and
maintain.  There are required or
mandatory suspension and tire components available from designated vendors.
