National Motorists Association (NMA) to Sponsor BMW CCA Club Racing
BMW CCA Club Racing is proud to announce that the National Motorists Association (NMA) will be an Associate Sponsor for the 2006 racing season.
The National Motorists Association joins Title Sponsor The Tire Rack, HMS Motorsport (BMW CCA Club Racing’s Official Safety Equipment Supplier), Premier Sponsors VAC Motorsports and BMW NA, and Associate Sponsors Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and bimmers.com in sponsoring BMW CCA Club Racing.
Founded in 1982, the National Motorists Association has been at the forefront of the debate for reasonable speed limits, fair enforcement practices, and motorists’ privacy protections. Among other things, the organization was the driving force behind the repeal of the 55-mph National Maximum Speed Limit. Current NMA priorities also include better driver training, improved motorist-to-motorist courtesy, and preventing unfair motorist taxation.
“The NMA is excited about this opportunity,” said Eric Skrum, NMA Communications Director. “BMW Club Racing encompasses the core of what the NMA is about. the love of cars and the love of driving. Any chance to help encourage these activities is something of which we want to be a part.”
David McIntyre, BMW CCA Club Racing Chairman, says “I have been a member of the NMA for many years, and have personally supported their activities in New Jersey. I feel that NMA is an organization that is looking out for my best interests on the road. When Scott Smith, North Atlantic CRAC representative presented the idea of NMA sponsoring BMW Club Racing I was truly excited. I think that BMW Club Racing and the National Motorists Association have much in common, and I hope that our relationship will benefit both our organizations. Thanks to Scott and John Holevoet of the NMA for making this happen.”
