Coincident with the mid-year rules changes for the Tire Rack BMW CCA Club Racing Yokohama Spec E36™ Series, BMW CCA Club Racing is happy to announce that once again Tire Rack™ has stepped up to support BMW-based amateur racing. One new size of Yokohama racing tire and the newly-spec’d Yokohama rain tire have been added to the Tire Rack Spec E36 Rebate Program, allowing racers in this class to receive refunds of $25 per tire.
“The level of support the Tire Rack provides to BMW CCA Club Racing is nothing short of phenomenal,” said BMW CCA Club Racing Chairman Mike Mills. “By expanding the tire selection for the Spec E36 Series, they help to ensure the long-term success of the program and for that we thank them.”
Added to the rebate program are the 245/40R17 ADVAN A048 MH and the 235/40R17 ADVAN Neova AD-07, which join the existing 225/50R16 ADVAN A048 MH as approved tires for the series.
The Spec E36™ class is designed around a set of 1992-1998 6-cylinder BMW 3-series (non-M3) race cars which are prepared to a uniform level. The modifications required or allowed are intended to produce a fun, fast racing vehicle that feels like a true race car yet remains relatively inexpensive to prepare and maintain.
