Cobalt Friction Technologies is using their industry-leading technical support and product knowledge to expand their customer base in professional motorsports, club racing and high-performance driver education programs. Cobalt Friction Technologies has been involved in the highest levels of motorsport competition including ALMS, Grand-Am, Indy Lights and SCCA Pro Racing.
In addition to its Official Contingency Program, CFT will also be the Official Sponsor of 2 season-end driver awards;
1. “The Cobalt Friction Rising Star Award”- awarded to the rookie driver accumulating the most points in his rookie season ($1000 award).
2. “The Glenn Lucas Memorial Trophy sponsored by Cobalt Friction Technologies”-awarded to the driver that most represents the spirit and philosophy of BMW CCA Club Racing, both on and off the track ($1000 award).
Glenn Lucas was a club racer who was a fierce competitor on the track but also could always be depended on to provide assistance and support off the track.
