Vince Leo, our National Competition Steward, has taken the decision to spend more time racing and less administering. Vince stepped forward when help was needed, demonstrating the volunteerism that makes this club simply outstanding. I hope you will join me in thanking Vince for his service.
As of today, July 2, 2007, Dean Croucher becomes our new National Competition Steward.
Dean has over 20 years of experience as a SCCA Steward and currently holds an SCCA Senior Chief Steward license. Dean has been the Chief Steward in a professional racing series, the American Cities Racing League. Dean has demonstrated operational and administrative experience including being a Steward of the Meet for the SCCA Runoffs and serving as the Northeast Division Executive Steward for SCCA. Dean has been the Chief Steward for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix since 1998.
I hope you will welcome Dean to our team. He will be leading our very strong team of dedicated Regional Comp Stewards; without their volunteer efforts we would have no events.
