Friday April 9 through Sunday April 11, 2010: Sponsoring Chapter: Tarheel Chapter
This Event will be shared with our hosts Vintage Drivers of America (VDCA), who are great partners and always bring some interesting machinery.

This is a 3 day event (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and will feature a full schedule of practice, qualifying, Sprint races, and a 60 Minute enduro.

We will be using the Full Course layout at VIR, 3.27 miles. Camping will be available in the paddock.

Registration and tech will open at 1:00pm on Thursday. Note we will not be allowed to enter the paddock prior to 1:00pm. Rookie meeting will take place at 8pm on Thursday at the host hotel.

Preliminary schedule:
Friday - 2 practice, 1 Qualify, 1 Sprint Race
Saturday - 2 practice, 1 Qualify, 1 60 min Enduro
Sunday - 1 practice, 1 qualify, 1 Feature Sprint Race (done by 3pm)

South Central's Premier event for 2010. 2.9 mile track which is the fastest road course in Texas. Open to all BMW CCA Club Racers and NASA, SCCA, or Pro series BMW's. Please come out and join the fun. Trophies, t-shirts, and Saturday night meal, etc. are included in your registration.

Club Race at Mid Ohio

Saturday May 29 through Sunday May 30, 2010: Sponsoring Chapter: Northern Ohio Chapter

   We would like to thank all of you who participated in our Annual Memorial Day Race weekend last year and welcome all who will be participating this year. We are very happy to be the Central Region Premeir Race and will be having 3 points races this weekend. Two 25 minute(30 minute session) sprint races on Saturday and a 45 minute sprint or an enduro race on Sunday.
   The Saturday schedule will consist of a practice session, qualifying session for the first sprint race, Sprint race 1 and then Sprint race 2. The finishing order of the first sprint race will be the starting grid for race 2. The Sunday schedule will consist of a warmup/qualifying session and either a 45 minute sprint race or possibly a 1 hour enduro. That race will be held right after the lunch hour so you will be able to get on the road for you with long tows etc.
   We would like your input on the Sunday race whether to run sprint or enduro. Contact either Tim or myself, Harvey Rogers at harvbmw@aol.com.
As far as which races will be what points will be announced at a later date.
We are planning a fun, fast action packed weekend and look forward to your participation.
   This year we have started using www.Motorsportreg.com to accept payments for Friday and Races. After you have registered please go their website to make payment. Make sure you have the Club Race event as we are also hosting An HPDE that weekend and that is a separate registration.
   You can also include payment with your app and credentials(made out to NOC BMW CCA) that need to be mailed in.
   There will be a MANDATORY ROOKIE Meeting at Quality Inn & Suites, 1000 Comfor Dr, Bellville OH 419-886-7000 Friday May 28th at 8:00pm. This is our headquarters hotel where we have a block of rooms reserved also.

Historic Races at Beaverun

The BMWCCA / PCA Club Race Challenge
Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Historic Races @ Beaverun

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is a 10 day motor sport festival which benefits the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny Valley School. The largest event of its kind Kicks off July 17, & 18, 2010 with the Historic races at Beaverun. The BMWCCA joins the Vintage Race Group to comprise the Historic Races at Beaverun sponsored by Crown Royal. The VRG features cars from the 50’s 60’s, and 70’s; Allards, MG’s, Triumph’s, Elva’s, Cobra's, Camero's, Mustangs, Porsche's, Jaguar's and of course BMW's. The Allegheny chapter sponsors the BMWCCA Club race at the Historic races. Again this year we have invited the PCA to come out and join us for the BMWCCA / Porsche Club Race Challenge. Open to all BMW or PCA licensed club racers, the field is limited to 40 racers. All years and classes of BMW's and Porsche racecars are eligible. Join us in the Crown Royal winners circle to celebrate our passion for motorsports and our ability to donate to the worth while charities. BMWCCA and PCA participants receive a catered lunch for one driver and one crew member both Saturday and Sunday in our chapters corral. There is a driver’s reception from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, July 16th for all drivers, crew and families participating at Beaverun. Saturday night there is a Volunteer / Drivers party trackside. The PVGP also has a block of rooms reserved at the Marriott Pittsburgh North, only 15 miles from the track. Call 724-772-3400 for reservations. Test and tune is scheduled for Friday, July 16th. All participants receive at least 2 hours of track time, cost is $165, ½ day $95, or $65 per session. Visit www.pvgp.org for test and tune application.

E36 Race Chassis for sale

E36 Coupe - converted to race car in 2006 and was raced in the Canadian Touring Car Championship in 2007 and 2008. The car was never hard crashed as the photos and a detailed inspection will show. The car did experience the usual CTCC "rubbing" and currently has a good sized cosmetic dent on the right rear quarter panel. Roll cage is extremely well built and is sized to accomodate a 6'5" driver (me) no problem. Very light chassis - ready to race without fuel, this car weighed 2368 lbs. Chassis is to be sold as is with the following: spare front L and R fenders, Headlights, spare rear bumper. Asking $6,000. I have a lot of good photos.
