Saturday July 18 through Sunday July 19, 2009: Sponsoring Chapter: Los Angeles Chapter
Two sessions per day, first is a practice/qualifying and the second is a race.

A specific paddock area for the BMW group is not designated. Paddock space is in either the RV lot or the garage area.

This is a 2 stage registration event
1) Register on the CCA CR site
2) Register & pay on the VARA web site.
3) Go to VARARacing.com.
4) On their home page,go to "entry forms", click on "GS Classic Entry Form"
5) Fill out completely. Under the licensing category insert BMW.
6) On the entry form, where it asks for"VARA class" put "BMW" and then your BMW class, e.g. BMW-JS, BMW-DM
7) Register as a member at the $325.00 member price.
8) The entry fee is for both days and is for the CAR, not the driver! In other words different drivers sharing a car is o. k. and no extra charge(different days of course).
9) If you have ANY registration problems or questions,or questions re. the event,call Darlene at VARA (800)280-vara.She will take care of any problem for you.

Club Racing School at Barber Motorsports Park

Come join us for our 2009 BMW CCA Club Racing School at Barber Motorsports Park, August 22-23 in Birmingham, Alabama!   The school will be held in conjunction with an HPDE and if you've never been to the Barber track it's well worth the trip to Alabama.

Are you any of these?
An accomplished driver who:
   A. Would like to find out what it feels like to pass and be passed in turns?
   B. Would like to experience many race starts?
   C. Would like to find out what lines are out there other than the Driver’s Ed line?
OR
   An accomplished driver who is contemplating going racing sometime in the future?
OR
   An accomplished driver who has decided to join the racer’s fraternity and wants to do it the best way possible?

And want to do it in your current Drivers Ed car?

If you answered yes to any of the above then we have just the opportunity for you.

The entry fee of $450 includes a total of eight classroom instruction sessions and eight on track sessions preceded by an information meeting the night before. This event is intended to assist experienced drivers get a taste of what racing is all about. It is open to drivers who have previous track experience and have driven solo in chapter schools or who are instructors. Your vehicle need not be a BMW, nor have a roll cage, only the normal Driving School Safety Equipment is required for both your car and yourself.

Mosport International Raceway

Friday September 11 through Sunday September 13, 2009: Sponsoring Chapter: Canada - Trillium
The Trillium Chapter is happy to once again host a club race at Mosport International Raceway on September 11-13. Friday will be a test&tune day, with four 45 minute sessions. Though the sessions will be dedicated to the racers and other track cars, they will be run under DE rules (specified passing zones, passing with point-by, etc). Saturday will consist of a practice, qualify and 45 minute sprint race. Sunday will consist of a qualify and a 45 minute sprint race.

Camping is allowed at the track. Rookie meeting is expected to be help at the track Friday after track activities are complete. Dinner Saturday evening is provided at the track, with one dinner ticket per car entered. Additional tickets can be purchased at the event.

Cost is $450 US or $500 CDN (Canadian residents please add 5% GST). Full refund if you do not turn a wheel on the track.
